Baseline, Midline and Endline Study of Mein Pragati Program

Mein Pragati is a financial capability program being implemented in Assam. Rashtriya Gramin Vikas Nidhi (RGVN) is the implementation agency. 1st phase (2015-2017) was to reach out to rural women organized into Self Help Groups (SHGs) with the aim of enabling them to have greater control over her finance and making some of these women as financial advisors (Sakhis).2nd phase of the project started in 2018, for which Crisil Foundation wants a baseline, midline and endline to be done for this second Phase of the project to understand its impact on the community and impact on the Sakhis.

M2i was involved from designing the research tools, conducting surveys,data analysis and report preparation. Conductd a baseline survey of 2,100 villagers in 40 villages of 6 districts of Assam in 2018. Apart from this, 300 village financial advisors were interviewed, 24 FGDs were conducted with the community and semi-structured interviews with financial and service providers like banks, BCs,ASRLM, PAN card agents,Gas agency. A midline is planned in 2019 and endline in 2020.
